Reflexology and Better Sleep

One of the most common feedback comments I receive from clients is that they say they had a really good night's sleep after their reflexology treatment.

Our sleep pattern can be disturbed for many reasons which may be related to physical or mental health issues, lifestyle changes, work pressures or family challenges causing anxiety, which in turn makes it difficult for us to switch off and relax.

When we are deprived of quality sleep over a period of time, this can have an impact on our energy levels, our ability to concentrate and our mood.

Naturally it follows that good quality sleep supports our immune system, our ability to manage stress and increase our energy levels.

There are many published articles supporting the link between reflexology and improved sleep.  So the link I have chosen (below) is a meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials summarising forty-two articles (total sample of 3,928 participants), concluding that "the findings suggested that foot reflexology produced significant improvements in sleep disturbances".
